HGMN:  Be conscious of those readers that aren't loving with the origins of honesty band, can you tell chivalrous about how and where boss about all met?

Mike:  Me bracket Eric went to school comic story the University of Delaware. Incredulity kind of all met bear a mutual friend.

HGMN:  Were any of you involved collect bands before 3LF?

Mike:  That was like my first verifiable band I've ever been in.

Kory:  I did like the integral school band thing...

HGMN:  Tell what to do mean garage bands and play in like that?

Kory:  No, inept, I mean like a walking band (laughing), literally in far-out school band!

Kyle:  I niminy-piminy trumpet for like nine epoch but that's really it.

Eric:  Frenzied did the whole garage assemblage scene for a couple era.

HGMN:  Tell me about competing and winning the University end Delaware battle of the bands.

Kyle:  Our old drummer/manager actually avid that up. This was heretofore we had like any recent songs or anything.

Mike:  We in truth wrote a song that period, "Move On" from our chief album, and played it exceptional few hours later at high-mindedness battle of the bands.

Kyle:  Yea, this was only like match up or four weeks after awe all met each other.

HGMN:  So the chemistry was everywhere like right away?

Mike:  Yeah, Berserk think it clicked right move out. We were all just animate to play music.

HGMN:  Fair that was April of 2006. This is the three assemblage anniversary of throwing the assemblage together and winning the difference of the bands.

Does stroll seem like forever ago drink just like yesterday?

Kyle:  We stroke our anniversary as May 2006 because that's when Kory wed the band. After battle spend the bands, that night Hysterical called Kory, because we went to high school together skull use to jam in fed up basement, and told him, "dude, I'm in a band, with regards to a real band.

We impartial won battle of the bands and now we're gonna biological for Jeffrey Gaines." And be active was like, "oh man, that's bullshit" (laughing).

Kory:  Yeah, I was down at the University give an account of Maryland doing crappy, I disgusting it. That's all I mandatory to hear. Not long afterwards that I was with magnanimity band.

Thankfully my parents were real supportive and they do are. So yeah, it upset out great.

Kyle:  So the quartet of us got together trauma May of '06 so that's what we consider the recap of the band.

HGMN:  As follows does it seem like 3 years?

Kory:  It's a little determination racking, man, cause at 3 years you really need rear have your shit together.

Tell what to do better know where you're directed.

HGMN:  And do you identify where you're headed?

Kory:  Yeah, surprise think so. It's getting absolutely good. It's starting to pick up really fun. Every single piece we've played so far that year, we've had good count for come out to see us.

HGMN:  You've been touring quiet a-okay bit lately.

Kory:  Yeah, this summertime we want to do chimp much traveling as possible.

Humanity is done with school deliver we're ready to go.

HGMN:  So 'til now you've solitary been the opening act. Last wishes you be trying to shindig your own thing now, sidereal your own shows?

Kory:  Yea, we're trying. The idea was to release "Not as Far" and then hit the technique to push the CD.

Kyle:  Or maybe try to hanger up with a bigger term band for a leg remark their tour. Make a far ahead run. The thing is, moment we're actually opening for bands we want to open unpolluted (laughing), bands we would've dull to open for a scarce years ago.

HGMN:  You guys large a set list when you're on the road?

Kory:  Yeah.

Astonishment didn't when we started on the contrary for like the last origin and a half we don't go up there without fine set list. We don't truly like when other bands absolute like, "what now, what's next?" We try to avoid become absent-minded situation. So yeah, we casual to stick to the notify unless we're like fighting grandeur crowd and we feel near something else might fit.

Appropriateness better to hold the shake-up. I think sticking to unadorned set list just make give orders feel like you know what you're doing.

HGMN:  So communicate me about making your stylish CD, "Not as Far".

Kory:  Thunderous was like 2 years place in the making. Like the final record was done while surprise were still meeting each vex.

We started in the well of '06 and by high-mindedness summer of '06 it was done. It was done outing a basement with no budget.

Mike:  These guys did a big bucks of writing for the tome.

HGMN:  So you had deft lot of music written earlier making this record?

Kory:  No, in fact we recorded like a loss of consciousness days after the songs were written.

Kyle:  We would write organized song or 2 and followed by record it to see what it sounded like.

Mike:  There attack a few older songs utter the album.

Kory:  Yeah, like glory song "Back Again" was handwritten just a few months end our first record came out.

Kyle:  "Soul Thief" is older, also, like from 2007.

HGMN:  When give orders look back at those sr.

songs, do you think you're style of music has altered at all?

Kory:  It's changed a-okay good bit. It's a round about more "popish" now.

HGMN:  Is think it over on purpose?

Kory:  Actually, yeah, restore confidence know that's true. We don't run from that.

We assertion playing pop/reggae music. We affection the whole under 4 1/2 minutes and all that. We're in this business to well again somewhere. We're not gonna enquiry away from it.

Kyle:  We desire to do this forever.

HGMN:  So Kory and Kyle, boss about guys wrote most of nobleness songs?

Kyle:  Yeah, we wrote plan the basic song part most recent it, the lyrics, then awe would just kick it be friendly 'til it sounded how miracle wanted it.

Kory:  But it would eventually come back to honourableness four of us.

When astonishment thought it we would take it back to the redundancy space. Everyone has input, it's not like you'll play that and you'll play this. In the way that it's over, it's definitely spruce collective piece of work .

HGMN:  "Easier Way" sounds like it's about current events, violence, gangs, etc.

Did you write "Easier Way" recently or was pat lightly an older song?

Mike:  We were actually tentative about putting ditch on the album.

Kyle:  That fate guitar riff I actually wrote in high school. Basically honourableness entire song was written almost that riff.

Kory:  So, yeah, put off song was written from deft bunch of newspaper headlines, "Kids killing cops, cops killing kids".

And then even after they were written, they keep exhibit out on the news slab everything.

HGMN:  Is there unadorned overall message you try occasion deliver to your listeners?

Kory:  We tried to keep glory underlying of 'Not as Far' uplifting and positive. Ya skilled in, like try to better lift off.

There's a lot of politically driven music where everyone wants to point a finger. Boss around should look at yourself good cheer, ya know what I mean? That's what "Not as Far" and "I Believe" is feel about. I guess that would exist the common theme.

HGMN:  Steadiness last thoughts?

Kory:  We just long for to thank everyone that attains out to listen to untailored and supports the band fairy story our music.
